
Inyang Sami-Orungbe
Inyang is an experienced financial planning and business development professional with over 35 years of expertise spanning banking, pensions, investment advisory, customer relations and strategic marketing.
Inyang Sami-Orungbe is a Business Administration graduate of Rivers State University of Science and Technology and holds an MBA in Business Management from ESUT Business School, Lagos. She brings over 35 years of professional experience across banking, pensions, asset management, business development and corporate planning. She began her career at IBTC Bank (now Stanbic IBTC Bank), where she worked for 10 years in various capacities before joining Intercellular Nigeria Plc. During her time there, she led several strategic units including Marketing Research, Pricing & Product Development, Customer Support and Corporate Planning. Prior to joining the Guaranty Trust Group, Inyang served as the pioneer Head of Marketing at CrusaderSterling Pensions Limited, where she played a key role in building the organization’s market presence during its formative years. Within the GT Group, she later headed the Business Development Department of ASSUR Asset Management Limited, a subsidiary of GT Assurance Plc (now AXA Mansard). Her core competencies include Personal Financial Planning, Retirement Planning, Business Development, Sales & Marketing, Customer Service and professional soft skills development. Inyang is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Directors (MCIoD), a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (FNIMN) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM). She also serves as an Independent Member and Chairman of the Investment Committee for the Mutual Funds of RMB Nigeria Asset Management Limited, a subsidiary of Rand Merchant Bank Limited. Inyang is additionally certified as a Retirement Life Coach by Retirement Life Plan.
